Couples get confused through the false belief that STDs are prevented by oral sex but vaginal sex and anal sex do not prevent STDs. Our people should never believe in this myth. If person does not give attention to be clean of the groin and genital, many of STDs can be transmitted by oral sex. For example; for this reason, many people have infections as chlamydia and gonorrhea (coldness). Similarly, many people can catch diseases such as pale or blotchy that people do not know the cause of appearance or assimilate anything." and Dr. KEÇE continues, "If person catches this kind of infections, person can be infected a genital herpes by oral sex. Therefore, the cleanliness of groin is very important. Firstly, person is clean and careful the terms of hygiene and then, person need to use a condom during vaginal sex and anal sex in order to prevent STDs. Not performed with multiple partners, having oral sex by paying attention the cleanliness of genital organs are safer in terms of STDs transmission according to vaginal sex and anal sex. CONDOM DOES NOT PROVIDE 100% PROTECTION!

CİSED Secretary-General Psychologist Serap Güngör says; "Condom provides protection from STDs but it is not 100% protection. In other words, condom provides protection but condom's security cannot be guaranteed because some microbes can be found in the genital or skin although some microbes do not get by condom. For example; the herpes virus can enter by a condom. Our aim is not to undermine the use of condom. People have to use condoms. However, many of people make mistakes the use of condoms. For example; 51% of people who wear a condom after sexual intercourse, 45% of people who take off condom despite of wearing at the beginning of sexual intercourse. These mistakes will increase STDs. In addition the use of condoms that past the expiration date of packaging is other mistake".

STDs DO NOT ONLY SPREAD BY SEX!

CİSED Board of Directors Psychologists Kemal Özcan says; "Believe of "If people have sex in the local toilets, they can catch STDs but f people have sex other place, they cannot catchSTDs" bad influences on young people. STDs' germs cannot survive outside of human body for a long time. These microbes are transmitted bisexual contact or blood. If there is not any cuts or open wounds in buttocks or genital and person do not any sexual contact with toilet (unprotected), STDs cannot are transmitted to person. STDs do not also only spread by sex. STDs can be transmit blood and skin contact, use someone else's toilet, underwear, wet surfaces from person to person. Hepatitis (Jaundice) and Warts (HPV) virus spread very quickly. Sometimes, even if STDs cannot be only transmit sexual contact, they can transmit skin cracks, being used the nail clippers, toothbrush ect. by patient, wet surfaces such as Turkish bath, sauna and surgical, dental and forging tools, manicure pedicure process which cannot be fully sterile.
