In recent years, social networking sites ( Blogspot, Facebook, Flixster, Fourmspring, Mypace, Path, Siberalem, Twitter, Windows Live, etc.) gain in popularity in Turkey as well as all over the World. Problems began to increase between couples and in marriages, have intimate or close relationship as a result that social networking sites spread among people. Socializing and flirting are on the fall, virtual sex begin increasing…

SOCIAL NETWORKS NEGATIVE AFFECT THE RELATIONS!

Cinsel Sağlık Enstitü Derneği (CİSED) sex therapists think that draw the boundaries of flirting in virtual worlds is more difficult. Correspondence began as a game, turn into a passionate relationship later. Even if individuals have normal relationships, they can get caught up in an attractive case in virtual environment. Sex therapists attract attention that if person spends more time to social networking sites than his darling or wife, this situation causes serious problem in relationship.

Cinsel Sağlık Enstitü Derneği (CİSED) sex therapists underline that in America, one of every five couples, who complains in a court of law to get divorced, has given an impulse to problems are result from social networks since 2009. Divorce petitions include that one of the couples tries to avoid in social networks, especially man talks to his former lover and also man becomes absorbed in social networks so couple forgets each other… In the last two years, there are couples who have serious discussions, become the brink of divorce and even break up for these reason in Turkey . Look! My golden advice for couples in order not to be a victim of social networking sites:

 

GOLDEN ADVICE:

1-If woman or man gets suspicious about something, should not close his/her eyes!

"While couples first noticed this condition, they should talk about this to each other and they should be more explicit in their statements. 'Connivance' is the biggest mistaken. The best way for solving these problems is that couple tries to understand what is going on. In other words, couples should bring out the worst in relationship and lack of their relationship and they should come out in the wash".

2-Requests for membership and friendship in social networking sites of couples should be accepted by couples' co-decisions!

"People can take an idea about their friends in via social networking sites, besides these sites have bad influence for relationship. Couples should take a decision in common to accept or not friendship demands which come from old male or female friends. This way benefits to solve potential problems".

3-Couples should limit to social networking accounts!

"If you want, you should easily limit the visibility in part of account setting in social networking site and you should prevent people who you do not want to dialog. If couples are righteous, their relationship should be preserved from potential problem that caused by third person".

4-Account passwords of social networking sites should not be a secret!

"If there are love, sharing and transparency, there is confidence so you should not keep account passwords secret from each other in order that social networking cannot come between you and your partner and not create a question mark on your heads. In this way, couples can easily find everything is curious".

5-Couples should use a common account or they should have a photograph of them in social networking site!

"People think if there is not sexuality, adult cannot be so if one of the couples come to other, person closes the screen or person waits woman/man to sleep in order to use social networking site, it means that you are deceived. Let's not forget that adult is trickery. If you are a simple minded person, it can cause the deterioration of the relationship. Therefore, you should have a common account or you should have a photograph of them in social account. When couples use the same account, they can get around acknowledge each other's circle of friends and also there are not misunderstandings".

6-Couples should not be dependent to use social networking sites!

"Social networking has ever been in all people's life and it wants people to spare the time so people have to be interested it permanently. Every day, you are called to the site such as 'There is a friendship request!', 'Somebody wrote something in a message inbox!', 'You habe been invited to game!" in Facebook. Howsoever you say 'Only five minutes…', you can use a conversation for hours. This situation is not only different at home, it is same at work. You should have a great time with your wife/husband, your partner or your friends instead of being socialization in social networking pages. There is not a life without internet at the present day so you should not take laptop or open your computer, you should spare the time for yourself and your partner".

7-Couples should have a co-decision about social networking sites at the beginning of the relationship!

"Couples should clearly give mouth to their thoughts about social networking sites at the beginning of the relationship. Thereby, they can take measures at the outset. When couples have problems on account of social networking sites, these decisions will have a great effect on problems in order that these decisions are absolute and certain which couples talk about each other".
