After DGSS Sexology Conference...

 

As Sexual Health İnstitute, our aim is to raise awareness about the subjects such as sexuality, sexology and sex therapy in Turkish society, to give accurate sexual information to our people and to educate specialists to work in the field of sexology since our establishment. We organize seminars for public, try to inform people by our weekly press releases and publish books about sexology and sex therapies. Also we organize certificate programmes for mental health specialists. İn addition to our national duty, we are also in collaboration with some international associatons working in the field of seology. 

 

German DGSS is one of the oldest associations showing activity in the field of sexology. In May 24th-27th there has been organized a joint sexology congress in Munich, Germany and Sexual Health İnstitute was one of the hosts of the congress. The other hosts were DGSS, DGG from Germany and AACS fom USA. This year's theme of the congess was 'Pornography and Power' and in light of this theme sexology and sex therapies were discussed for three days in the congress.

In behalf of the Sexual Health İnstitute, Dr. Suha Danisman, Dr. Nur Danisman and Psk. Gulum Bacanak made presentations about Hypersexuality, Use of Porn in Sex Therapy and Porn Use Among Patients with Premature Ejaculation and Vaginismus. Sexual Health İnstitute organized a dinner in a Turkish restaurant. Press showed a great interest to the conference. As Sexual Health İnstitute we believe that we have much more important and successful organizations in the future.
